We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial records related to agri-commodities trading, procurement, inventory, and sales. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of accounting principles, commodity pricing, stock reconciliation, and vendor settlements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
Maintain day-to-day accounting records in accordance with company policies.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Record purchases, sales, expenses, and payments accurately.
Reconcile bank accounts and supplier/ customer ledgers.
2. Commodity Inventory Management
Monitor stock levels for grains, seeds, pulses, fertilizer, and other commodities.
Perform daily/weekly inventory reconciliation with warehouses and procurement teams.
Track commodity inflow/outflow, wastage, damaged goods, and weight variations.
3. Procurement & Sales Accounting
Maintain records of purchase contracts, delivery challans, gate passes, and invoices.
Manage vendor payments and track receivables from customers.
Verify commodity rates, discounts, commission, and transportation costs.
4. Costing & Profitability Analysis
Calculate cost of goods purchased and cost of goods sold.
Prepare daily/weekly profitability reports on commodity trades.
Analyze price fluctuations and support management in decision-making.
5. Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with tax laws (GST/Sales Tax, WHT, etc.).
Prepare and file monthly/annual tax returns as required.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
6. Software & Tools
Maintain accounting records in ERP / QuickBooks / Excel or company software.
Generate financial and inventory reports as needed.
