About the Role The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting financial reporting and compliance requirements.

Accounting & Finance
• Record daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy of all accounting entries.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheets.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Process invoices, verify account balances, and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
• Generate reports to track financial performance and identify trends.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), and statutory regulations.
• Assist with tax preparation and filings (where applicable).
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Timekeeping & Admin Support
• Maintain staff timekeeping records, including daily attendance tracking.
• Perform attendance checking and reconcile discrepancies (late arrivals, absences, etc.).
• Support leave monitoring and checking (annual leave, sick leave, etc.) and maintain accurate leave records.
• Assist with basic payroll-related record keeping (as required).
• Perform general administrative and finance-related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience (junior profiles may also be considered).
• Senior accountant / CFO-level experience is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Excellent numerical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Well-spoken in English with strong reading and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup.
