Bilal Enterprises is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of accounting experience and demonstrate expertise in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. The Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards. This role requires proficiency with ERP and financial reporting software, as well as account reconciliation tools to support the company's financial operations and auditing processes. The successful candidate will manage a team of 15 persons, guiding and coordinating their activities to achieve financial accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards. The Accountant will oversee all accounting functions within the organization while promoting efficient processes and maintaining strong internal controls. This position demands strong analytical and organizational skills to manage complex financial data and ensure timely and precise reporting. The Accountant will be responsible for supervising team members, providing training, and fostering a collaborative work environment to deliver high-quality financial services that align with the strategic goals of Bilal Enterprises.
Responsibilities
 

  • Manage the preparation and presentation of accurate financial reports in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of accounts to ensure all financial data is accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Maintain the general ledger by recording all financial transactions and ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Utilize ERP software effectively to streamline accounting processes and improve data management and reporting.
  • Conduct IFRS compliance auditing to ensure all financial practices adhere to current international standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and lead a team of 15 accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing processes and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial discrepancies or fraud.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide all necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Continuously review and improve accounting procedures and software tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare detailed account reconciliation reports using specialized software and resolve any discrepancies effectively.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to gather necessary financial information and support business operations.
  • Monitor changes in financial regulations and standards and update accounting practices accordingly to maintain compliance.
