AM Procurement

We are seeking a motivated procurement professional to manage the sourcing and purchasing of local construction materials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying potential suppliers, obtaining and analyzing quotations, and negotiating costs to ensure budget adherence. This role requires close coordination with internal teams and external vendors to guarantee timely delivery and maintain quality standards. The candidate will also support project procurement needs and monitor vendor performance to uphold service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate prospective suppliers and manufacturers.
- Manage the procurement process for local construction materials.
- Obtain, analyze, and compare quotations; negotiate total cost elements effectively.
- Prepare price comparative statements and monitor adherence to allocated budgets.
- Conduct comprehensive market surveys to stay informed of industry trends and pricing.
- Maintain and update the vendor list with a focus on quality assurance.
- Support project teams with procurement-related matters as needed.
- Coordinate with various departments and third parties to ensure on-time delivery.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding defective goods and arrange necessary follow-ups.
- Monitor vendor performance, including quality and delivery timelines.
- Verify invoices to ensure accuracy in pricing and billing.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain-related roles.
- Strong understanding of supply chain procedures and procurement processes.
- Proficient in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of market research techniques.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information:
- A Master’s degree in a related domain is preferred.
- This is a full-time position based in Karachi. Candidates must be able to reliably commute or be willing to relocate prior to starting work.
