Assistant Manager Finance

We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Manager, Finance, who possesses strong accounting expertise within the software industry, leadership skills, and a solid understanding of financial transactions including assets, liabilities, and profit and loss. The ideal candidate will oversee month-end and quarter-end closes, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external auditors. Strong communication, business acumen, and analytical abilities are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts receivable aging, billing, collections data, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and ensure adherence to invoice approval procedures.
- Oversee treasury functions such as cash receipt application, bank reconciliations, and collections management.
- Handle fixed assets management and review customer contracts to evaluate IFRS 15 impacts for precise month-end and quarter-end accounting entries.
- Support quarter-end and year-end reporting deliverables for corporate teams and external auditors.
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) to maintain accurate financial data.
- Collaborate with business managers to validate monthly forecasts in Jedox for reporting accuracy.
- Foster team cohesion through regular one-on-one meetings and group discussions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at automating financial reporting processes.
- Undertake special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
- Ensure timely completion of processes and submission of deliverables from end to end.
- Identify process inefficiencies, implement improvements, and escalate issues when necessary.

Required Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience in a finance leadership role.
- Strong financial knowledge specific to the software or IT industry, including familiarity with financial operations and accounting standards.
- Professional accounting designation such as ACCA, CMA, or CA.
- Thorough understanding of accounting guidelines, especially IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
