Job Title: Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

The Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing invoices and reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting and accounts. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and familiarity with project-based or property-related accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero (or similar accounting software).


 

  • Record and reconcile all bank transactions across multiple accounts.


 

  • Process supplier and contractor invoices and ensure payments are correctly authorised.


 

  • Maintain project cost tracking and assist in budget management.


 

  • Support monthly management accounts and cashflow reporting.


 

  • Ensure financial records are audit-ready and meet compliance standards.


 

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting.


 

  • Strong working knowledge of Xero (or similar cloud-based accounting software).


 

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.


 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.


 

  • Strong communication and time management skills.


 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting and Finance (or equivalent).


 

  • Previous experience working with property developers, investors, or project-based businesses.


 

  • Familiarity with financial drawdown and project funding processes.
