Shift: Night (9:00 PM to 5:00 AM PKT, Monday to Friday)


 

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Development Manager to oversee a team of Business Development Executives while actively driving revenue growth on Upwork. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in winning CMS, web app, mobile app, and IT projects, along with strong leadership skills to mentor and manage a high-performing sales team.


 

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Client Acquisition:

  • Identify, bid on, and secure high-value IT projects (CMS, web apps, mobile apps, SaaS, etc.) on Upwork.
  • Craft winning proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals with clients.
  • Conduct client calls to understand requirements, address concerns, and finalize project scopes.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of leads and ensure consistent project closures.


 

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development Executives.
  • Set sales targets, monitor performance, and implement strategies to improve conversion rates.
  • Conduct training sessions on proposal writing, client communication, and Upwork best practices.
  • Ensure the team follows up on proposals and maintains high response & closure rates.


 

Client Relationship & Retention:

  • Build long-term relationships with clients to secure repeat business.
  • Handle escalations and ensure smooth project handover to the delivery team.
  • Gather client feedback and refine sales strategies accordingly.


 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in business development on Upwork/Freelancer, with expertise in IT projects (Web, Mobile, CMS, SaaS, etc.).
  • Proven track record of closing high-value deals ($10k+ projects preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing sales teams.
  • Excellent proposal writing, negotiation, and client presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and align them with business solutions.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.


 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in IT services sales (software development, digital marketing, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills to track KPIs and optimize sales strategies.
