Personal Injury law firm based in Texas, USA with additional locations in two States. Seeking for a motivated Case Manager. We are a fast pace environment. Must have solid PC skills and able to multi-task. You will learn from one of the best lawyers in America.
Job Responsibilities:
As Case Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Calling leads (potential new clients) immediately and conducting intake screenings in accordance to checklists that will be provided during training. You must have people skills to "connect" with leads/clients.
- Sending and managing documents : Scheduling call with attorney.
- Setting up case files according to firm protocol and opening insurance claims and emailing or electronically faxing letters, request police reports.
- Coordinating medical treatment for clients and conducting monthly follow-ups for up to 22 months or until settlement.
- Tracking all medical providers in each file, verifying when clients have completed treatment , and ensuring all records and bills are ordered.
- Requesting, reviewing, and summarizing medical records and bills to ensure accurate case documentation once client is done treating.
- Create medical summaries/Extracting key information from medical records (dates of service, type of visit, MRI findings and amount of injections and/or surgery recommendation or actual surgery). Template excel will be provided.
- Create medical bill summary (list out each total charges, payments made by insurance company, write-off amount, outstanding charges). Template excel will be provided
- Preparing demand packages using firm templates, bundling records, and submitting them to insurance companies (must have PDF skills). Template demand letters will be provided.
- Following up with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers to keep cases progressing efficiently.
- Managing an active caseload of up to 150-175 cases/files. Will start you off with 50 or less cases for the first 2 months.
- Handling time-sensitive tasks, prioritizing urgent matters over routine workflow.
- Labeling, and uploading mail, as well as reading correspondence and taking action accordingly.
- Attending weekly meetings with the attorney, maintaining a checklist, and taking notes.
- Coordinating client appointments, scheduling calls, and assisting with settlement paperwork.
- Securing electronic signatures from clients.
Work Expectations & Requirements:
125K per month with NO relevant experience (with room to grow)
225k per month with 3 years of RELEVANT Experience: (Law firm experience, Managerial position, or customer service experience)
Must provide up to three recent professional references and letters of recommendation.
Must speak clear, fluent English with a neutral accent.
Education must be completed under the American or British school system (This will be verfied, so please don't apply if you did not attend this school system).
- You must be available Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM Central Texas time. Must have your camera on 100% of your work time, except lunch hour.
- This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You should have the ability to untangle someone’s file if you have to take over – training will be provided (basically go through your checklists to see what the previous person overlooked).
- You must be able to multitask, prioritize urgent matters, and follow up consistently with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies.
- The ability to handle up to 150 to 175+ active files is required after the initial onboarding period. Every file must be reviewed and progress made at least every 30 to 45 days. This includes, but is not limited to, client contact, ordering and following up on records, communicating with adjusters on offers, and involving the attorney as needed, draft settlement statements..
Technical Requirements:
- You must have your own reliable high-speed internet, a fully functional PC, and necessary software/tools to perform your job efficiently.
