Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Corporate & Legal Affairs specialist, based on-site in Karāchi. The professional will be responsible for managing and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining legal compliance, and monitoring and analyzing regulatory changes.
Role Responsibilities:
• Filing of statutory returns and compliance of PSX Rule Book, SECP Companies Act, and CCG, etc.
• Keeping abreast of legal and industry trends relevant to the company's operations.
• Drafting of board meeting minutes.
• Managing all work related to general meetings.
• Drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contracts, assisting management in negotiating terms with external parties.
• Ensuring the company adheres to all applicable laws and regulations.
• Handling shareholders' matters like dividends, transfers, transmission, etc.
• Coordinating with internal & external stakeholders across departments and potentially with external legal counsel or regulatory bodies.
Experience & Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Compliance Management & Regulatory Compliance.
• ACCA Affiliate or Master’s/Bachelor's degree in Finance or Law, from a reputed university.
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Legal Compliance of PSX
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with the financial and investment industry is a plus
