DevOps Engineer

Appedology Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a committed DevOps Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis. This position requires working entirely onsite at the DHA Phase 5, Tauheed Commercial Area in Karachi, Pakistan, from Monday to Friday during morning shifts. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience and strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar platforms. Manage containerized deployments with Docker as well as non-containerized environments. Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers to ensure optimal system performance and security. Support and understand web application architectures, including APIs, databases, and message queues. Oversee database management tasks involving MySQL and PostgreSQL. Utilize monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and CloudWatch to maintain system health and performance.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of two years of professional experience in a DevOps role is essential. Proficiency with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is required. Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Jenkins is necessary. Solid knowledge of Docker and containerized deployment strategies, along with experience in non-containerized environments, is expected. Expertise in Linux server administration is a must. Familiarity with components of web application architecture, including APIs, databases, and queues, is important. Experience managing relational databases, specifically MySQL and PostgreSQL, is required. Competence in using monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch is also necessary.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience supporting HRMS, HCM, or ERP systems will be considered an advantage. Basic to intermediate knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation is desirable. Experience working with high-availability systems is an asset.
