Ebook Publisher/ Formatter

We are seeking an experienced Book Formatter & Publisher with expertise in publishing, formatting, and typesetting for digital and print books. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of industry standards, and experience working with self-publishing platforms such as Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, and others.

Responsibilities:

Format and typeset manuscripts for print and e-books, ensuring industry-standard design.

Prepare files for publishing on multiple platforms, including Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, and others.

Work with authors to ensure their books meet professional publishing standards.

Adjust typography, margins, and layouts for readability and aesthetic appeal.

Convert files into different formats (ePub, PDF, MOBI, etc.).

Ensure compliance with copyright guidelines and publishing regulations.

Requirements:

Proven experience in formatting, publishing, and typesetting books.

Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Vellum, or other book formatting software.

Experience publishing books on platforms like Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Draft2Digital, etc.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Knowledge of ISBNs, copyright procedures, and book distribution platforms.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work with authors collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with both fiction and nonfiction formatting.

Knowledge of book cover specifications for various platforms.

Understanding of SEO and metadata optimization for books.
