ETP Engineer

Hamdard Pakistan is seeking a dedicated ETP Engineer with at least four years of experience to manage the operation and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant. The ETP Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that all processes related to water and wastewater treatment adhere to both environmental regulations and company standards. This role requires expertise in water treatment, wastewater management, environmental compliance, and water quality analysis. The engineer is responsible for overseeing the daily functioning and continuous improvement of the effluent treatment processes, ensuring the facility operates efficiently and sustainably. The ETP Engineer focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing the effluent treatment process to minimize environmental impact. This includes conducting detailed water quality analyses and collaborating with various departments to maintain operational excellence. While this position does not involve managing a team, the engineer must demonstrate strong independent decision-making skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to maintaining compliance with environmental laws and company policies. Continuous monitoring and timely maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant ensure the protection of natural water bodies and meet industrial discharge standards.
Responsibilities
 

• Operate and monitor the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to ensure optimal performance and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular water quality analysis and testing of treated effluent to verify adherence to discharge standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of ETP equipment to prevent operational disruptions.
• Design and optimize treatment processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve environmental outcomes.
• Ensure all operations comply with local, regional, and national environmental regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment plant operations, water quality results, and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits to demonstrate compliance and address any concerns.
• Implement safety protocols for handling chemicals and managing wastewater to protect personnel and the environment.
• Analyze process data to identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend technical upgrades.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal use and external regulatory submissions.
• Stay current with advancements in effluent treatment technologies and environmental regulations to maintain best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of environmental requirements into production operations.
• Develop contingency plans to address potential system failures or non-compliance incidents promptly.
• Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and operational capabilities related to ETP management.
