We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to accurately maintain and record the company’s financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This role requires close collaboration with the Hiring Manager to prepare and analyze financial reports, manage accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, and handle tax payments. The ideal candidate will hold an Accounting degree and have experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (GP) to ensure precise day-to-day financial record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions and complete postings within Microsoft Dynamics GP.
- Post invoice batches in the sales module, ensuring correct deferral of invoices.
- Review accounts receivable aging reports, assist in preparing doubtful account provisions, send monthly AR statements, and follow up on customer payments.
- Process customer credits, return memos, and cash receipts, applying them against invoices in GP.
- Coordinate preparation and reconciliation of customer invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage all supporting documentation related to customer invoices, including contracts and purchase orders.
- Assist with regular reconciliation of AR-related accounts such as work in progress, AR, and deferred revenue.
- Support state sales tax compliance and other tax-related requirements.
- Assist in preparing internal monthly financial statements for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting with high accuracy.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations, analytical reviews, and variance analyses.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable subledgers to the general ledger.
- Update quarterly accruals and commitments, and prepare journal entries for month-end close.
- Process accounts payable by analyzing and coding invoices correctly in GP.
- Identify inter-company discrepancies and communicate findings to local accounting teams.
- Prepare intercompany, foreign exchange, and transfer pricing journals for review.
- Generate SmartView reports from GP for various reporting needs.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, revenue analysis reports, trial balance variance analysis, and quarterly disclosure reporting.
- Maintain complete financial records in compliance with IFRS and meet internal and external deadlines.
- Implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and effectiveness.
- Undertake special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as required.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or a professional accounting qualification (finalist or completed).
- Proven bookkeeping and accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles.
- Ability to accurately calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Proficient data entry skills and strong numerical aptitude.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary accounting software.
- Proficiency in English and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
