Responsibilities:

The role will involve:

  • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and weekly/monthly reports.
  • Ensure financial reporting is clear, consistent, and supports informed decision-making.
  • Review and approve journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Own and deliver a timely month-end close by the sixth working day of each month.
  • Lead year-end close activities and preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Act as primary contact for external auditors and manage audit queries.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing forecasts.
  • Monitor performance against budget and forecast and provide variance analysis.
  • Provide financial insight to support operational and strategic planning.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow and liquidity.
  • Oversee working capital including receivables, payables, and inventory.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and scenario analysis.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls, financial policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Group financial policies and approval frameworks.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements.
  • Oversee timely tax filings and statutory reporting.
  • Liaise with external advisors and regulators as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and automation within finance.
  • Support development and optimisation of finance systems and reporting.
  • Contribute to finance and business improvement projects.
  • Work collaboratively with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Provide commercial challenge and financial guidance.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) essential.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a multinational business.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance desirable.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in financial control or senior accounting.
  • Strong technical accounting and reporting expertise.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management in an international or multi-entity environment.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • ERP or financial systems implementation experience desirable.
  • Audit experience across multiple jurisdictions would be an advantage.
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal English language is essential.
