Freelance Motion Graphics Animator

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Motion Graphics Animator to join our team on a freelance, as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will have strong animation skills and expertise in editable animated SVGs, helping us create engaging and informative visual content for technical scripts. Your animations will play a crucial role in translating complex software concepts into clear, visually appealing content for clients, users, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Interpret technical scripts and concepts to create engaging animations
Develop storyboards and visual concepts aligned with product branding
Design high-quality 2D/3D motion graphics and visual effects
Ensure animations accurately convey technical details while enhancing engagement
Optimize and deliver editable SVG animations for performance
Revise animations based on feedback and industry best practices

Requirements

Proven experience as an animator, with a strong portfolio showcasing technical animations and motion graphics
Proficiency in animation software such as Adobe After Effects, Blender, Maya, or similar tools
Solid understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate them into visually appealing animations
Creative thinking and the ability to develop innovative visual solutions for complex ideas
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in technical representations
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and understand product requirements
Time management skills to meet deadlines while maintaining the quality of work
Bachelor's degree in Animation, Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience in creating animations for software, technology, or IT-related content
Knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
Basic understanding of programming concepts and software development processes
Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and user-centered design methodologies
