The Head of Sales at Ascend plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the companys sales department. This position requires a strategic thinker with 15 years of experience who can design and implement effective sales strategies to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth. The role involves overseeing a team of 5 sales professionals, ensuring they are well-motivated, trained, and equipped to meet and exceed sales targets. The Head of Sales collaborates closely with leadership to align sales objectives with corporate goals, contributes to product design discussions, and evaluates market demand to identify new business opportunities. This position demands a proactive leader who can develop and refine sales processes and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. Using advanced CRM software such as Salesforce or HubSpot, the Head of Sales continuously monitors team performance and market trends to implement necessary corrective actions. The role is integral in fostering strong customer relationships and maintaining a competitive edge in the market through consistent sales forecasting and revenue management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a sales team of 5 by providing motivation, training, and guidance to achieve and surpass sales targets.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with Ascends corporate objectives to drive growth and market expansion.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of sales procedures and processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the sales function.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement corrective measures to meet or exceed established sales goals.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to influence new product designs based on market feedback and sales insights.
  • Utilize CRM software tools such as Salesforce and HubSpot to manage customer relationships, track sales activities, and forecast revenue.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and adapt sales approaches to capitalize on new trends and customer needs.
  • Ensure sales staff adhere to company policies and maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports and forecasts to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sales team to enhance skills, knowledge, and overall performance.
