We are looking for a committed HR professional to oversee a wide range of human resource functions within a fast-paced and evolving work environment. This role requires managing recruitment, payroll, compliance, employee relations, and site labor management to ensure seamless HR operations that support the organization’s objectives. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Pakistani labor laws and relevant experience in project-based industries, especially within construction or infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including posting vacancies on platforms like Indeed and Rozee, screening applications, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, and facilitating onboarding for both office and site employees.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate employee records such as personal files, attendance, leave tracking, and performance documentation using HR software or Excel.
- Process monthly payroll by calculating salaries, overtime (with special attention to site workers), deductions including EOBI, income tax, provident fund, and bonuses, ensuring timely salary payments.
- Ensure compliance with Pakistani labor laws, including EOBI registration, Social Security contributions, Workers' Welfare Fund, minimum wage adherence, and provincial regulations; prepare and submit required reports and filings.
- Address employee relations matters by managing grievances, conducting exit interviews, handling disciplinary procedures, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Support performance management by assisting with appraisals, identifying training needs, and organizing safety and induction training programs, particularly for site staff.
- Administer employee benefits such as health insurance, group life coverage, leave management (annual, casual, medical), and site-specific allowances or accommodation for project personnel.
- Collaborate with project and site teams to plan workforce needs, manage labor mobilization and demobilization, and oversee temporary staffing requirements.
- Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and documentation for management review, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, managing staff contracts, and handling confidential HR matters with discretion.
- Provide support for office administration related to HR, including stationery management and visitor coordination as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 7 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in construction, EPCC, EPC, infrastructure, manufacturing, or other project-based industries. Experience managing site labor is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Pakistani labor laws, including EOBI, Social Security, taxation, and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills for payroll and data management, along with Word and PowerPoint. Familiarity with HRIS or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and resolve workplace issues effectively.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, with flexibility to conduct occasional site visits.
- Fluency in English and Urdu, both written and spoken. Additional local language skills are beneficial.
