Import & Export Operations Manager

Are you an experienced trade and logistics professional with a sharp eye for compliance and a proven track record in managing end-to-end international shipments? We are looking for a dynamic Import & Export Operations Manager to join our team in Karachi and drive our global trade operations forward.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day import and export operations, ensuring seamless execution from order placement to final delivery.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, freight rates & shipping contracts for optimal cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping lines for FOB-based shipment arrangements.
• Prepare, review, and verify all shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, Chamber of Commerce certificates, and any other trade-specific documents.
• Track shipments proactively and resolve delays or transportation issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor shipments movement related to imports and exports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all international transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in import/export operations and international logistics.
• Experience in negotiating supplier pricing, freight rates with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing trade documentation (invoices, BL, COO, packing lists, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, and Incoterms (especially FOB).
• Strong coordination skills for working with suppliers, freight partners, and banking institutions.
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP or logistics management systems is a plus.
