Instrumentation Draftsman - Process Control Documentation

Job Description: Siddique Ice & Cold Storage operates cold storage facilities in Islamabad with extensive process control and refrigeration systems. We seek an experienced instrumentation draftsman to document our existing process control systems and create comprehensive technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document existing refrigeration and process systems in P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
• Create PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) from existing process flows
• Draft instrument loop diagrams showing existing field devices to control room connections
• Develop instrumentation hook up diagrams for field devices and control panels
• Create instrumentation layout drawings showing current physical device locations
• Document control narratives describing existing system operation and control logic
• Survey and document existing field instrumentation, control valves, and measurement devices
• Work alongside existing maintenance team to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Create instrument schedules, tag databases, and specification sheets from existing installations
• Document existing process interlocks, safety systems, and alarm configurations

Requirements:

• 5+ years process control/instrumentation drafting experience
• Expertise in EPLAN, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar industrial drafting software
• Knowledge of ISA standards (ISA-5.1, ISA-5.4, ISA-20)
• Experience with refrigeration systems and cold storage processes (Preferred)
• Understanding of process control instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, level)
• Fluency in English and Urdu
