IT Support Executive & Hardware Specialist

Yarana Textile Mills is seeking a skilled IT Support Executive & Hardware Specialist with a minimum of three years of experience to join our dynamic IT department. This role focuses on providing comprehensive technical support for hardware and software systems, ensuring efficient and reliable IT operations. The ideal candidate excels in troubleshooting hardware and operating systems issues, performing preventive maintenance, configuring networks, and managing IT assets using various specialized tools. This position requires a detail-oriented professional familiar with hardware diagnostics, system monitoring, and maintaining up-to-date drivers and firmware to support our company's IT infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with end users to resolve technical problems both onsite and remotely. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining hardware components, configuring systems for optimal performance, and conducting scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Utilizing IT asset management software and hardware diagnostics tools, you will track and manage the IT inventory effectively. The position does not include team management responsibilities, focusing instead on individual expertise and proactive IT support to maintain Yarana Textile Mills' operational continuity.
Responsibilities
 

• Provide timely and effective technical support to resolve hardware and operating system issues for end users.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware components and peripherals to ensure optimal functioning.
• Perform network configuration tasks to support connectivity and system integration within the company.
• Conduct hardware diagnostics utilizing specialized tools to identify and resolve equipment faults.
• Troubleshoot operating system problems, applying solutions to restore system performance and reliability.
• Manage and update drivers and firmware to keep hardware components operating efficiently and securely.
• Schedule and execute preventive maintenance tasks to reduce system failures and extend the life of IT equipment.
• Use remote support tools to assist users and rectify issues without requiring onsite visits, improving response time.
• Monitor system performance through dedicated software to detect and resolve issues proactively.
• Maintain accurate records and management of IT assets, using IT asset management software to track inventory and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with other IT staff to support infrastructure projects and upgrades as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards concerning IT maintenance and data security.
• Provide user guidance on hardware operation and troubleshooting to empower end users with basic technical knowledge.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest hardware technologies and industry best practices to recommend improvements.
