Lab Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated female Medical Assistant to join the PTCL Health Center in Nazimabad, Karachi. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or relevant education in the medical field and a minimum of two to three years of experience in a similar role. This position requires a professional who is skilled in patient care, medical procedures, and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operation within the healthcare environment. The role is contract-based for a duration of 10 months, with a competitive monthly salary.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect and document personal information and medical histories from patients accurately.
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Administer medications under physician guidance and assist during medical examinations.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures including x-rays and other tests.
- Manage electronic health records efficiently, ensuring all patient data is up to date.
- Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments and processing prior authorizations.
- Assist patients during examinations and treatments, including preparation for procedures and support during medical emergencies.
- Provide patients with clear information regarding prescribed medications.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the office environment.
- Ensure all medical equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills to support administrative and clinical tasks.

Required Qualifications

- Female candidates only.
- Minimum education level: Graduate with a diploma or relevant certification from PTCL Health Center or equivalent.
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a medical assistant or related healthcare position.
- Strong knowledge of medical procedures and patient care protocols.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks including clinical assistance and administrative duties.
- Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Proficiency in electronic health record management and scheduling software.
- Experience in coordinating patient care and handling prior authorizations.
- Contract position with a duration of 10 months.
- Monthly salary range between Rs37,000 to Rs40,000.
