We are looking for a seasoned HSE Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental compliance efforts on Water Reservoir and Infrastructure Projects. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in managing HSE functions, ensuring that safety standards are consistently upheld throughout all phases of the project. This role demands close coordination with project teams, contractors, and clients to foster a strong culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE documentation, including inspections, audits, training records, and incident reports.
- Review and approve HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements to guarantee compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Lead emergency preparedness initiatives by developing, implementing, and testing response plans, evacuation drills, and contingency protocols.
- Serve as the primary HSE point of contact for project managers, contractors, and client representatives, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Implement and enforce project-specific HSE policies and procedures rigorously, promoting adherence across all teams.
- Conduct thorough investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, performing root cause analysis and establishing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Prepare and submit detailed weekly and monthly HSE performance reports to management and clients, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with environmental permits and actively promote sustainability practices on-site to minimize environmental impact.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills to influence and maintain HSE compliance at all levels of the project team, driving a proactive safety culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in HSE management, specifically within Water Reservoir or Infrastructure Projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HSE codes, regulations, and international standards relevant to the industry.
- NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to lead investigations and implement effective corrective actions.
