ABOUT ACTED PAKISTAN:

Independent, private and not-for-profit, ACTED respects a strict political and religious impartiality and operates according to principles of non-discrimination and transparency. Acted has been present in Pakistan since 1993 and currently supports communities in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Azad Jammu Kashmir. Acted Pakistan programmes range from short-term emergency responses to recovery and rehabilitation, as well as longer-term development initiatives. Acted strategy is to target vulnerable communities affected by natural and conflict-related disasters as well as lack of socio-economic development.

Assignment:Marketing Specialist – Aquaculture will Conduct aquaculture market assessment and mapping of buyers, traders, and processors.- Develop and implement market linkage strategy for fish producer groups.- Support creation of producer cooperatives and marketing clusters.- Recommend and promote value-added fish products (fillets, smoked, dried, etc.).- Support development of community-managed cold chain and processing facilities.- Facilitate investment linkages and PPP-based infrastructure initiatives.- Conduct ToTs and prepare marketing training materials for fish farmers.- Strengthen partnerships with seafood processors and export firms.- Develop monitoring systems for sales, income, and market performance.- Document success stories and develop exit strategies for market sustainability. Qualification & Experience:- Master’s degree in Fisheries, Business Administration, or Marketing.- Demonstrated experience in market linkage and value chain development for aquaculture enterprises.- Familiarity with Sindh markets and fluency in English are required.
