The role focuses on managing the entire accounts payable process as a key finance partner. This includes ensuring timely and accurate payment execution, collaborating with multiple teams to optimize tax compliance, and supporting financial reporting efforts. The position requires close coordination with stakeholders to maintain smooth payment operations and uphold high levels of seller satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily payment processing for both local and international transactions, including preparing payouts and updating bank and legal details in line with established procedures and service level agreements.
- Closely monitor pending payments to ensure timely processing and maintain positive seller sentiment.
- Accurately upload bank details onto the portal and complete all manual uploads related to revenue and expenses on a weekly basis to avoid delays.
- Communicate proactively with the seller communication team regarding any deviations from weekly timelines to prevent escalations.
- Address inquiries and resolve payment-related issues promptly to maintain high stakeholder satisfaction, ensuring effective communication with internal and external parties.
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Seller On-boarding teams to efficiently manage requests for accelerating or delaying payouts.
- Resolve complaints from Key Account Managers concerning payment delays daily through various communication channels.
- Conduct adhoc User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on payout systems as requested by the Finance Business Partner team.
- Prepare accruals for cross-border payments for submission to the Reporting team.
- Oversee reconciliation processes across relevant systems, investigating and correcting discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
- Liaise monthly with the tax team to provide revenue inputs for accurate and timely tax filing.
- Continuously review and improve payment and upload processes to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and minimize processing times by leveraging automation and technology solutions.
- Perform detailed weekly reconciliations between internal systems to verify payout accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree minimum; Master’s degree or ACCA qualification preferred.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in payments, stakeholder management, and accounts payable functions.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Prior experience as a payables or payments analyst is advantageous.
