Orthopaedic & Medical Institute (OMI) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Manager Nursing to lead our Nursing Department. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 10 years of experience in nursing, including at least 3 to 5 years in a managerial role. The Manager Nursing will play a key role in overseeing and enhancing nursing practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and leading a team of nurses and healthcare professionals.


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring effective patient care delivery.
  • Lead and manage nursing staff, providing mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Implement and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with medical, administrative, and support staff to improve patient care outcomes.
  • Develop, maintain, and assess nursing performance metrics and provide guidance for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained for all shifts and resolve scheduling conflicts as required.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the medical team to resolve concerns and provide high-quality care.
  • Oversee nursing budget and resource allocation.
  • Participate in the recruitment and retention of nursing staff.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement strategies for team building and improvement.
  • Stay updated on nursing best practices and healthcare industry trends to implement innovative solutions.


 

Qualifications and Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing (BScN or MScN).
  • Valid nursing license and certifications as per local regulations.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of nursing experience, including 3-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of managing teams in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of hospital operations and healthcare compliance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve conflicts efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive improvements in patient care and nursing practices.
  • Proficiency in healthcare management software and MS Office Suite.
