Join the diabetes center, a leading diabetes care facility committed to improving the lives of patients with innovative treatments and compassionate care. We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Nutritionist/Diabetes Educator to be part of our hospital's excellent team.

4. Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for nutritional assessment/ Screening of patients registered for medical nutrition therapy
• To provide anthropometric assessment before planning diet for patients
• Provision of Custom diet plans
• Provision of complete Medical Nutrition Therapy and Specialized Medical Diet Plans.
• Conduct life style Education sessions in routine and guide patients about diabetes management.
• To take history from patients and ensure that all information is recorded and is accurate at all times
• To guide patients about Insulin technique and related protocols
• Responsible for assessment of patient’s compliance to health education in their follow up visits and record keeping
• Preparing Portion control diet plans ( 7 day / 15 day / 21 day / 30 day / 45 days
• Responsible for Contemporary Nutrition therapy
• Educate Type 1 patients about Carb’s counting and Dose selection
• Educate patient for Carbohydrate counting and Insulin units selection (I:C)
• To Design & Update Medical Nutrition Boucher and education flyers
• To provide content about Portion Control Food Items for Facebook (Social media TDC)
• Establishment of Diet clinic & maintain Record of Nutrition Patients (manual)
• Manage the obesity clinic, providing personalized diet plans, weight management strategies, and continuous follow-up for effective outcomes.
• To act in accordance with relevant Policies, Standards and Procedures
• To participate in different outstation and in-house camps arranged by The Diabetes Centre
• Responsible for data collection regarding any ongoing project, and any other task related to it.
• To Ensure the proper and timely documentation/communication/reports
• To cooperate with front line manager for any additional task and to respond timely on any given task by supervisor and management.

5. Skills:

• Expertise in Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and contemporary nutrition practices.
• Proficient in anthropometric and dietary assessments.
• Ability to prepare and deliver custom and portion-controlled diet plans.
• Advanced knowledge of carbohydrate counting, insulin-to-carb ratio (I:C), and dose adjustment techniques.
• Strong communication skills for patient education and counseling.

6. Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics/ preferably Master degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Clinical Nutrition or a related.
• Certification in Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) or Diabetes Education is preferred.
• Preferably 3 - 5 years of experience in managing diabetes patients or related.
