Role Objective

The Monitoring Officer is responsible for the continuous surveillance, maintenance, and oversight of security systems to ensure the safety and security of all bank branches and assets. This role involves proactive monitoring, incident response coordination, and meticulous record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities1. Surveillance & Technical Operations

  • System Operation: Operate and maintain surveillance equipment.
  • Live & Recorded Review: Actively monitor live feeds and review recorded footage to detect and report suspicious activity or security incidents.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly verify the functionality of cameras and NVRs; coordinate with BAS/CCTV vendors for repairs, technician visits, or Quick Response Force (QRF) dispatch.
  • Back-Office Oversight: Ensure back-office cameras are strategically positioned and recording in compliance with JSBL Security & Safety SOPs.

2. Incident Management & Coordination

  • Emergency Response: Act as the primary point of contact for emergency response teams, providing real-time guidance and information during incidents.
  • Escalation: Promptly escalate any technical issues or security breaches to the Team Leader or Shift In-charge for immediate resolution.
  • Communication: Maintain continuous communication with night-shift security guards at branches.

3. High-Risk Monitoring & Compliance

  • Specialized Oversight: Execute enhanced and frequent monitoring for "High Risk" branches identified in the Master Security MIS.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure all monitoring practices align with established bank security policies and standards.
  • System Integrity: Observe restrictions regarding sensitive equipment; only authorized experienced shift in-charges may operate DSS servers.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Log Management: Maintain meticulous logs of shift observations, including timestamps and specific remarks for branch inspections.
  • Database Maintenance: Update and maintain the Master Security MIS for all Pakistan branches, including custodian details, CCTV data, and fire extinguisher status.
  • Tracking: Keep an accurate record of the CCTV & BAS complaint tracker.
  • Reporting: Assist the Shift Leader in compiling daily CCTV monitoring reports for management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive understanding of CCTV, alarm systems, and control room software.
  • Observational Excellence: Ability to multitask and monitor multiple screens simultaneously with high attention to detail.
  • Qualification: Intermediate.
  • Discipline: Ability to strictly follow a duty roster and maintain a clean, organized work environment (Control Room).
