Overview

We are seeking a contract Operations Automation Specialist to design and build automation tools that improve efficiency within complex internal workflows.

This role is less about building large-scale software systems and more about designing thoughtful, reliable solutions that integrate cleanly into existing processes. Success depends on strong system thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver tools that are accurate, intuitive, and immediately useful to end users.

What You’ll Work On

You will design and implement automation solutions that:

 

• Reduce manual effort
• Improve data accuracy
• Streamline cross-system workflows
• Fit seamlessly into existing operational processes
  
   

Typical work includes scripting, integrations, and workflow design across platforms such as Airtable, Team Support, Salesforce, and related tools.

Responsibilities

 

• Design automation solutions for internal operational workflows (subject to review before build)
• Build and test JavaScript-based automations (e.g., Airtable scripts, integrations)
• Integrate systems via APIs to enable reliable data flow
• Validate outputs to ensure accuracy and reliability in real-world use
• Troubleshoot and refine tools based on user feedback
• Analyze workflows to identify additional automation opportunities
• Ensure solutions are intuitive, low-friction, and minimally disruptive
• Document system logic and behavior in a clear, user-friendly manner
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and constraints
  
   

Core Requirements

 

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to understand and design within complex systems and workflows
• High attention to detail, especially around data accuracy
• Experience writing JavaScript (or similar scripting) for automation
• Experience working with structured data (Excel, Airtable, or similar)
• Experience integrating systems via APIs
• Strong communication skills, especially explaining logic clearly

• Exposure to workflow automation in a business environment
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., using LLMs or APIs in practical applications)
• Experience improving real operational processes through automation
