Operations Executive (Terminal)

This full-time position based in Karachi offers an excellent opportunity to join the shipping and port industry, focusing on operational coordination and workforce management. The role requires close collaboration with control and vessel supervisors to ensure equipment is available and ready for use, while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. The successful candidate will oversee various yard activities, enforce safety protocols, and manage staff performance to support seamless port operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with Control and Vessel Supervisors to ensure the availability and readiness of equipment.
- Monitor workforce performance, provide necessary training, and enforce safe work practices to maintain operational efficiency.
- Enforce trailer twist-lock requirements and manage yard traffic to prevent congestion and ensure smooth movement within the port.
- Report unauthorized vehicles, safety incidents, and container damages promptly to the relevant departments for timely resolution.
- Supervise the distribution of VHF radios and oversee the preparation of break-bulk cargo gear.
- Conduct regular performance assessments of subordinate staff to uphold operational standards and improve workforce productivity.

Required Qualifications:
- Education: Intermediate or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years working experience in the shipping or port industry is required.
- Availability: Must be able to work morning shifts and be physically present at the work location throughout the shift.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Salary: Competitive monthly salary of Rs 50,000 along with additional benefits.

- Education: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with up to 3 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree will also be considered.
