EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports, coupled with a solid grasp of data modeling techniques. As an Oracle Developer, you leverage your technical skills to design, develop, and maintain efficient Oracle database applications. A pivotal part of this role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions. Ideally, you will bring at least five years of relevant experience, particularly within the insurance industry, to effectively address our business demands. You will also manage a small team of two developers, fostering an environment of innovation, teamwork, and adherence to best practices in software development. Your leadership will drive the successful completion of projects while mentoring your team to enhance their skills and knowledge in Oracle technologies. Your analytical approach to problem-solving and your dedication to high-quality outcomes will contribute significantly to our operational goals.
Responsibilities
 

• Develop and maintain Oracle database applications using PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports.
• Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional specifications to meet business needs.
• Design and implement data models to support efficient data storage and retrieval processes.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of database queries and applications to ensure system efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Oracle applications with existing systems and ensure seamless user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues by analyzing logs, debugging code, and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage a team of two developers, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering skill development.
• Establish best practices for database development and application deployment, ensuring quality and security standards are met.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and workflows to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Stay updated with the latest Oracle technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development practices.
