Role Description The Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based at Rafa e aam medical centre in Karāchi. This role involves dispensing medications accurately, reviewing prescriptions for safety and appropriateness, and counseling patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and adherence. The Pharmacist will maintain up-to-date medication records, manage inventory and stock levels, and ensure that storage and handling comply with regulatory and safety standards. Daily responsibilities also include collaborating with physicians and nurses on treatment plans, monitoring for drug interactions, and contributing to quality assurance activities. The role requires consistent documentation, participation in audits, and support for continuous improvement in pharmacy services.
Qualifications

 

• Professional pharmacy qualification (e.g., Doctor of Pharmacy or equivalent) and valid license/registration to practice as a Pharmacist in Pakistan.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and common drug interactions, with the ability to review and verify prescriptions for safety and accuracy.
• Ability to provide clear patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and adherence, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with pharmacy operations, including dispensing processes, inventory management, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records in both paper and electronic systems.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Previous experience in a hospital or clinic pharmacy setting in Karāchi or similar environment is an advantage.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic health records or pharmacy management systems are beneficial.
