Responsibilities include the timely and precise processing and dispensing of prescriptions from healthcare providers, verifying medication accuracy, dosage, quantity, and labeling. Key Responsibilities
- Provide patients with detailed information about their medications, including dosage instructions, side effects, storage requirements, and possible drug interactions.
- Promote medication adherence and respond promptly to patient inquiries or concerns regarding their prescriptions.
- Accurately interpret, process, and dispense prescriptions, ensuring the correctness of medication, dosage, quantity, and labeling.
- Review prescriptions for allergies, drug interactions, contraindications, or dosing errors, consulting pharmacists to resolve any issues.
- Document all clinical interventions and communicate relevant information to both patients and healthcare providers.
- Adhere to pharmacy regulations, guidelines, and best practices to maintain patient safety and service quality.
- Participate in regular reviews and updates of pharmacy policies and procedures to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.

- Monitor inventory levels, implement control measures to minimize waste, prevent stockouts, and identify near-expiry or slow-moving stock.
- Communicate inventory needs and concerns to supervisors and assist in developing appropriate solutions.
- Ensure proper medication placement, storage conditions, and temperature control to preserve product efficacy and safety.
- Receive and verify incoming shipments of medications and medical devices, inspecting for damage or discrepancies and reporting issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic pharmacy environment, enforcing strict hygiene and infection control protocols.
- Analyze medication consumption trends and collaborate with healthcare providers to forecast monthly demand, submitting accurate forecasts to the warehouse.
- Notify purchasing departments ahead of low stock levels to avoid shortages.
- Assist with the safe movement of medical supplies within the warehouse, following standard operating procedures and adhering to special handling requirements for sensitive items.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Conduct regular self-audits to verify stock accuracy, including batch numbers, expiry dates, quantities, and storage conditions; submit audit reports highlighting near-expiry and dead stock.
- Prepare and share inventory and prescription trend reports with the pharmacist, supported by evidence-based consumption data.
- Assist with seasonal inventory planning and coordinate with supply chain teams for the return or replacement of expired, damaged, or defective items.
- Prepare and present key performance indicators (KPIs) to management and clinical services teams.
- Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management.

- Proven experience in pharmacy operations, including prescription processing and medication dispensing.
