Title: QA Test Engineers
Timings: 12pm - 9pm PKT (Onsite)
Location: Karachi, Pakistan
Job Summary
We are seeking a QA Tester with expertise in US-based healthcare systems and API testing to drive the quality assurance strategy and testing processes. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR), and validating APIs and integrations across healthcare applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation, API testing tools (such as Postman or REST Assured), and healthcare-related systems such as EHR/EMR platforms, claims processing, and interoperability standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. QA Strategy
• Define and implement QA best practices, test plans, and automation strategies.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure requirements are clear, testable, and aligned with healthcare industry standards.
• Conduct risk analysis and implement strategies for regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH, CMS guidelines).
2. API Testing & Automation
• Design, execute, and automate API test cases using tools like Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, or Karate.
• Validate healthcare data exchange using FHIR, HL7, EDI X12 (270/271, 837/835), and other healthcare interoperability standards.
• Ensure APIs are properly secured, tested for performance, and meet functional requirements.
• Integrate API testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
3. Functional & Non-Functional Testing
• Conduct manual and automated testing for web and mobile healthcare applications.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Perform performance and security testing in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Ensure robust test coverage across functional, regression, integration, and UAT phases.
4. Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure all test cases and defects are documented in JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Validate HIPAA compliance, data security, and PHI handling within applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support audit and compliance reporting.
• Maintain detailed test reports and traceability matrices.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing.
• Strong experience in US-based healthcare applications, EHR/EMR systems, claims processing, and regulatory compliance.
• Hands-on experience in API testing (REST, SOAP) and automation.
Technical Skills
• Test Automation: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit.
• API Testing: Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, Swagger.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
• Database: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle).
• Healthcare Standards: FHIR, HL7, EDI X12 (270/271, 837/835).
• Defect Tracking: JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr.
Soft Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of security testing and healthcare data encryption.
• Certifications: ISTQB, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Healthcare IT-related certifications.
