Quality Control Officer

The Quality Control Officer at Hamdard Pakistan plays a critical role in ensuring that raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products meet established quality and regulatory standards. The officer conducts thorough chemical and physical analyses, including testing samples from water treatment plants, to maintain the integrity and safety of the products. This position demands a detailed understanding of regulatory compliance and laboratory techniques, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and documentation. The role requires preparation of reagents, test solutions, and reference samples, alongside maintaining and calibrating analytical instruments to guarantee reliable and consistent testing results. The officer also contributes to updating testing methods and standard operating procedures to align with current quality requirements and supports the Quality Control Manager with day-to-day quality assurance activities.

Education and Qualification Required: B.Sc./M.Sc. Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analyses of raw materials and chemical molecules to verify adherence to quality standards.
• Perform testing and evaluation of packaging materials and finished products as required to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Analyze water samples from Reverse Osmosis and Deionized water plants to confirm purity and suitability for use in production.
• Prepare volumetric reagents and test solutions with precision to support effective and accurate testing procedures.
• Develop and maintain reference samples of raw materials to serve as benchmarks for quality comparisons and testing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date log books for analytical instruments, including calibration of analytical balances, pH meters, and conductometers, ensuring proper functionality and compliance.
• Calibrate and perform routine checks on all laboratory measurement equipment to minimize errors and uphold test validity.
• Update and revise testing methods and system Standard Operating Procedures to reflect changes in regulatory requirements or improvements in quality control processes.
• Assist the Quality Control Manager in quality assurance activities, contributing to continuous improvement and efficient operations within the quality control department.
• Ensure strict adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards during all testing and quality control tasks.
• Document test results and prepare reports for review, maintaining high levels of accuracy and accountability in all quality control processes.
