Quantity Surveyor


 

Job Purpose:

To manage all costs related to construction projects, from initial estimates to final accounts, ensuring value for money while maintaining quality and compliance with standards.


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis for project costs.
  • Evaluate tenders and prepare contract documents.
  • Monitor project costs and control expenses to keep within budget.
  • Assess variations and claims, and prepare payment certificates.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors regarding financial aspects.
  • Conduct site visits for progress verification and cost reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local laws, and safety standards.


 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., Candy, CostX, Primavera).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
