Our client Chughtai Healthcare is looking for a Radiology Technologist in Karachi.

Chughtai Healthcare is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on experience in computed tomography (CT) scanning and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques. This role involves operating advanced radiographic imaging equipment, positioning patients accurately for imaging procedures, and ensuring radiation safety protocols are strictly followed. The Radiology Technologist plays a critical role in producing high-quality diagnostic images that support medical diagnoses and patient care. This position requires detailed knowledge of digital radiography, image processing, and radiology information system management. Candidates must hold a Radiology Diploma, with preference given to those with a Bachelor of Science in Radiology, and possess at least three years of relevant experience in the field.

The Radiology Technologist at Chughtai Healthcare will collaborate closely with radiologists and medical staff to ensure effective use of imaging technologies such as digital radiography (DR), CT, and MRI. Responsibilities include patient preparation, operation and maintenance of imaging devices, and managing electronic health records related to radiology examinations. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of MRI physics, CT image reconstruction, image segmentation, radiation safety standards, and the ability to manage radiology information systems (RIS) efficiently. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a patient-first approach, without supervisory responsibilities as this role does not involve managing a team.

Responsibilities

 

  • Operate various radiographic imaging equipment including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI systems to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Position patients accurately and comfortably to ensure optimal image quality while minimizing exposure to radiation.
  • Apply radiation safety principles and protocols to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary radiation exposure during imaging procedures.
  • Perform image processing, reconstruction, and segmentation using specialized software to enhance diagnostic clarity and support radiologist interpretation.
  • Manage and maintain digital radiography (DR) and computed tomography (CT) imaging devices for accurate performance and safety compliance.
  • Utilize Radiology Information System (RIS) to document and manage patient imaging records, appointment scheduling, and report tracking effectively.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) related to radiology procedures, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare personnel to provide timely and precise imaging services that contribute to comprehensive patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of MRI physics and imaging techniques to assist in capturing and producing optimal magnetic resonance images.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in radiographic imaging technology and apply best practices to daily operations.
  • Perform routine quality control checks and preventive maintenance on imaging equipment to ensure operational reliability and safety.
  • Educate patients on imaging procedures and address concerns to facilitate smooth examination processes and improve patient experience.
  • Comply with established clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and facility guidelines to uphold high standards of radiological practice.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the radiology department to enhance workflow efficiency and service quality.
