This role demands strategic planning, relationship building, event execution, and communication excellence to achieve the financial targets and sustain the long-term growth of the READ Foundation.
1. Sectional Oversight:
Oversee operations and lead the Karachi Resource Mobilization team, ensuring performance, productivity, and alignment with national fundraising strategy.
2. Fundraising Strategy & Goal Setting:
- Develop and implement annual fundraising plans and CSR/individual donor strategies.
- Set realistic, measurable goals and use innovative tools (including digital platforms) to achieve them.
3. CSR and Corporate Engagement:
- Prepare customized CSR proposals, budgets, presentations, and MoUs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with CSR heads and decision-makers in corporate organizations.
- Secure sponsorships and funding from CSR-driven partnerships.
4. Individual Donor Engagement:
- Identify, cultivate, and engage high-net-worth individuals and philanthropists.
- Conduct one-on-one meetings, briefings, and appreciation activities to retain and upgrade individual donors.
- Maintain and update a robust database of individual donors in Karachi and surrounding regions.
5. Proposal & Report Writing:
- Prepare well-researched proposals, concept notes, estimates, impact reports, and donor feedback.
- Submit timely donor updates and ensure transparency and accountability.
6. Event Management & Donor Networking:
- Plan and host high-profile events such as fundraising dinners, close circle meetings, donor receptions, awareness walks, and educational seminars.
- Represent READ Foundation at external forums and networking opportunities.
7. Market & Donor Research:
- Continuously research prospective corporate and individual donors.
- Expand donor base by identifying and approaching new segments and markets.
8. Donor Retention & Relationship Management:
- Provide consistent follow-up, appreciation, and reporting to existing donors.
- Build long-term, value-based relationships for recurring and legacy donations.
9. Grant Identification & Endowment Planning:
- Explore funding opportunities from public/private grant-makers.
- Plan initiatives to establish and grow endowments from both corporate and individual sources.
11. Work Planning & Reporting:
- Prepare annual and quarterly work plans, budgets, performance reports, and updates.
- Participate in internal planning, review meetings, and strategy sessions.
12. Other Responsibilities:
- Ensure donor records, correspondence, and acknowledgments are up to date.
- Any other task assigned by supervisor relevant to the function.
