SAP Consultant – MM

Aisha Steel Mill Limited in Karachi, Pakistan is seeking an experienced SAP Consultant specializing in Material Management to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the SAP MM module to ensure optimal support for procurement and inventory processes. This role requires deep expertise in Material Management, procurement processes, integration with financial systems, data migration, and the SAP MM module. The consultant will work closely with key stakeholders to design and deploy SAP MM solutions that align with business goals, improve operational efficiencies, and sustain business growth. Additionally, the consultant will lead a small team of two professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure project deliverables are met. The SAP Consultant will continually evaluate existing MM processes to identify risks and areas for improvement. The role requires proactive development of mitigation plans and providing expert-level support for system issues, including troubleshooting bugs, errors, and enhancements. The consultant will carry out necessary configurations and collaborate with technical specialists for custom developments. This position involves conducting comprehensive testing to validate SAP solutions and delivering training to end-users to facilitate effective system utilization. Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with company policies and internal audit standards is essential. The candidate will actively participate in various SAP-related projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations while staying current on the latest SAP MM module releases and enhancements.
Responsibilities
 

• Analyze the SAP MM module structure based on SAP standards and current implementation specifics at Aisha Steel Mill Limited.
• Lead the configuration, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of SAP MM functionalities to support procurement and inventory management operations.
• Design and implement MM solutions aligned with organizational objectives and SAP best practices, ensuring seamless integration with finance and other SAP modules.
• Continuously assess and refine MM processes to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and support scalable business growth.
• Identify potential process risks and develop proactive mitigation plans to minimize disruptions in SAP MM operations.
• Provide advanced technical and functional support to resolve SAP MM issues, including debugging system malfunctions and applying necessary corrections.
• Make essential SAP configuration adjustments and collaborate with technical developers for custom code or enhancements when required.
• Conduct thorough unit and integration tests to verify the functionality and stability of SAP MM solutions before deployment.
• Support users during User Acceptance Testing by resolving queries and ensuring the system meets all business requirements.
• Develop comprehensive training materials and conduct training sessions to empower end-users and stakeholders in effective SAP MM usage.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation for all SAP MM configurations, modifications, and solutions, supporting compliance and audit readiness.
• Lead or actively contribute to SAP MM-related projects such as system upgrades, module migrations, and implementation of new business processes.
• Keep abreast of the latest SAP MM updates, including new releases, patches, and enhancements, to incorporate best practices into the system.
• Supervise and mentor a team of two professionals to ensure effective teamwork, knowledge sharing, and project success.
