🎯 The Opportunity

Ready to be the security backbone of a fast-growing fintech? We're looking for our first dedicated Security Expert who will be the go-to person for everything security-related as we scale and work with mid-market enterprise clients demanding ISO certifications and SOC compliance.

This role is perfect if you:

• Want to build security infrastructure from the ground up
• Enjoy wearing multiple hats: system admin, security officer, and DevOps
• Thrive in environments where 65% of your time is spent on product security and site reliability
• Are motivated by working directly with leadership on critical security initiatives

🔧 Your Day-to-Day

Security Leadership (65%):

• Drive ISO certification processes and SOC compliance initiatives
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability testing of our platform
• Respond to security information requests from enterprise clients
• Implement and maintain security best practices across the organization

System Administration (15-20%):

• Be the go-to person for all system admin needs across the team
• Ensure everyone follows proper security practices (2FA, password policies)
• Maintain overall security posture of the organization
• Manage Apple-recommended software for organizational security

DevOps & Site Reliability (20-25%):

• Support DevOps initiatives and cloud infrastructure management
• Collaborate with CTO and technical team on security implementations
• Provide technical expertise on security-related product improvements

🧠 What We're Looking For

Essential:

• 2+ years of experience in system administration roles
• Security certifications (or demonstrable security experience)
• Experience as security officer, security engineer, or site reliability engineer
• DevOps experience and cloud infrastructure knowledge
• Self-motivated and proactive approach to learning
• Up-to-date with current security trends in SaaS and AI environments

Highly Preferred:

• Spanish language skills for client interactions
• ISO and SOC certification experience
• Experience with enterprise security requirements
• Background in fintech or similar regulated industries

Mindset:

• Attitude over experience - we value motivation and continuous learning
• Someone who uses certifications and stays current with industry developments
• Comfortable with ambiguity and building processes from scratch
• No degree requirements - skills and motivation matter most
