Hamdard Pakistan is seeking a skilled Security Manager to oversee the comprehensive security operations within its Karachi facility. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelors degree and possesses a background in defense services, armed forces, or law enforcement, preferably with experience in an industrial or factory environment. This role requires leading a team of four security personnel to maintain overall security management, implement robust security policies, and ensure the safety and discipline of all employees and premises. The Security Manager is responsible for administrative control, developing emergency response strategies, coordinating with law enforcement, and monitoring surveillance systems to create a secure workplace that meets regulatory compliance standards. The Security Manager collaborates across departments to establish access control measures, conduct crisis and emergency handling, and maintain surveillance systems such as CCTV and gate monitoring. Proficiency in computer applications like MS Word and Excel is necessary to produce regular security reports and maintain records. The position demands strong leadership capabilities to discipline and motivate the security team, while upholding high standards of safety protocols and compliance. Effective liaison with law enforcement agencies ensures timely responses to incidents and contributes to a proactive security culture within the company.


Responsibilities
 

  • Develop, implement, and monitor security policies and procedures to ensure the safety and compliance of the facility.
  • Manage and lead a team of security personnel, providing guidance, discipline, and ongoing training to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Oversee industrial and factory security operations, including access control, surveillance system management, and perimeter security.
  • Monitor and operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV and gate control systems to prevent unauthorized access and detect potential threats.
  • Coordinate and maintain strong working relationships with law enforcement authorities and serve as the primary liaison during incidents or investigations.
  • Design and execute emergency response plans, including crisis handling and evacuation protocols to ensure preparedness.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures.
  • Maintain detailed security logs, incident reports, and administrative records using basic computer skills and reporting tools.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to security and workplace safety.
  • Investigate security breaches, suspicious activities, and employee incidents to take corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
  • Facilitate security awareness training sessions for employees and contractors to promote a culture of vigilance and safety.
  • Manage security equipment maintenance and coordinate with vendors or service providers for timely repairs and upgrades.
  • Plan security coverage for special events or high-risk periods to ensure enhanced protection.
  • Prepare and present security reports and updates to senior management to highlight key security issues and progress.
