Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages, including financial statements, work papers, and supporting schedules.
• Manage intercompany chargebacks.
• Perform reconciliations for GST/HST/QST, bank accounts, and tenant accounts, while also assisting with the collection process.
• Prepare and review annual final CAM and Tax billing/lease agreements.
• Record month-end and recurring journal entries.
• Assist in the development of the annual budget.
• Prepare year-end audit working papers and coordinate with auditors during fieldwork.
• Manage tenant/vendor chargebacks as required.
• Collaborate with Property Managers and Asset Managers on relevant accounting issues.
• Oversee cash flow management and cash call processes.
• Support acquisition and disposition analysis, including preparation of closing statements of adjustments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education in accounting or business.
• CA/CMA/ICMA/ACCA certification or partial qualification.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, particularly in writing detailed reports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
• Proficient English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Familiarity with MRI accounting software is highly advantageous.
