Eila Solutions is looking for a highly skilled Senior SQL Server Database Administrator with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure to support its client’s enterprise database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database performance, cloud administration, security, and business continuity.

🧑‍💻 Experience Required: 7+ Years, including at least 3 years in Azure environments

🔹 What You’ll Be Responsible For

Monitor, analyze, and improve SQL Server performance through query optimization, indexing, and execution plan analysis.

Develop and maintain efficient database architectures, schemas, and data models.

Manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions, including Always On Availability Groups, failover clustering, and Azure geo-replication.

Administer SQL Server databases hosted on Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Database, and Azure SQL Managed Instance.

Establish and maintain database backup, recovery, monitoring, security, and maintenance procedures.

Execute database migration projects from on-premises infrastructure to Microsoft Azure.

Automate routine database administration tasks using PowerShell, dbatools, and Azure CLI.

Resolve critical production database issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide technical guidance to junior team members.

🔹 Required Technical Expertise

Minimum 7 years of hands-on SQL Server DBA experience, including 3+ years managing production workloads in Azure.

Strong command of SQL Server 2016–2022, T-SQL, query tuning, and performance optimization.

Practical experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.

In-depth understanding of Always On Availability Groups, database mirroring, log shipping, and failover clustering.

Solid knowledge of backup and restore processes, disaster recovery planning, and database security.

Experience in PowerShell scripting and automation of database operations.

Familiarity with Azure networking, storage, and identity management.

🔹 Additional Skills That Will Be an Advantage

Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300).

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

Knowledge of database CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Exposure to SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Power BI.
