Senior Design Engineer Solar Energy

In this role, the Senior Design Engineer will actively participate in the entire project lifecycle, from initial design and site surveys to installation support and performance assessments. Collaboration with the sales team is essential to create accurate and compelling proposals that meet client needs. The position emphasizes strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address design challenges, technical reporting proficiency, and familiarity with software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Helioscope, and PVsyst. Although this role does not include managing a team, it remains critical in driving the technical excellence of solar projects and supporting the companys mission to expand renewable energy adoption across Pakistan.
Responsibilities
 

• Design commercial and industrial solar photovoltaic systems using industry-standard design software and tools.
• Prepare detailed system layouts, single-line diagrams, bills of quantities, and comprehensive system drawings to support project execution.
• Conduct thorough site surveys to assess environmental factors, shading, and load conditions that affect system performance and design.
• Perform load analysis and shading analysis to optimize solar system design and maximize energy yield.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop accurate and competitive proposals that align with client requirements and project specifications.
• Ensure all designs comply with national and international safety standards, electrical codes, and industry best practices to guarantee system reliability and safety.
• Contribute to project documentation by preparing technical reports, performance calculations, and feasibility assessments that support project approval and execution phases.
• Provide engineering support during installation and commissioning, addressing technical issues and ensuring systems are installed to design specifications.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in solar energy to continuously enhance design methodologies and project quality.
• Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
