EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager - Treasury to lead its treasury operations. This role requires a professional with strong expertise in cash flow management, risk management, and financial reporting in accordance with IFRS standards. The successful candidate will manage treasury management systems and cash management processes to ensure efficient liquidity and risk control. Leading a team of five, the Senior Manager - Treasury must demonstrate excellent leadership and people management capabilities to motivate and oversee team performance, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. The Senior Manager will be responsible for strategic decision-making related to the company's treasury functions, including cash optimization and financial risk mitigation. This position demands effective communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with internal departments and external partners. With a minimum of five years of experience in treasury or related financial management roles, the candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial stability and supporting EFU Life Assurance Ltd.'s overall business objectives through expert treasury management.


Responsibilities
 

  • Lead and manage a team of five treasury professionals to ensure effective execution of treasury activities.
  • Develop and implement cash flow management strategies to optimize liquidity and meet the company’s operational needs.
  • Monitor and control financial risks by applying comprehensive risk management techniques and policies.
  • Oversee the preparation and accurate reporting of financial data in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Manage and maintain treasury management systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in treasury operations.
  • Coordinate cash management functions including forecasting, allocation, and reconciliation to maintain adequate cash levels.
  • Analyze financial data and market trends to make informed decisions regarding investments, financing, and liquidity management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of treasury practices with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Report treasury performance and risk exposure to senior management and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in treasury processes and controls to enhance overall financial management.
  • Establish strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and auditors to support treasury operations and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial laws, regulations, and internal policies related to treasury activities.
