As part of this vision, Careem Grocery is innovating the grocery, pharmacy, and retail shopping experience by operating as a startup within Careem. The Senior Supply Associate, based in Karachi, will provide remote support to the Careem Grocery teams in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. This role is vital in ensuring product availability and enhancing supply chain efficiency to support ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent product availability and timely deliveries.
- Work closely with demand planning, commercial, and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and product assortment for Careem Grocery.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Address and resolve supplier-related issues and disputes promptly to maintain smooth operations.
- Develop and manage delivery schedules coordinating between Distribution Centers, suppliers, and stores for efficient inventory transfers.
- Oversee the timely return of damaged, expired, or unusable items from stores back to suppliers.
- Maintain accurate master data for all SKUs, ensuring that product configurations provided by suppliers are correctly reflected in internal systems.
