Job Description

The Shop Operator at Green Public High School plays a vital role in managing the daily operations of the school canteen or tuck shop located in Karachi, Pakistan. This full-time position requires an individual to efficiently handle cash billing, provide excellent customer service, and maintain accurate inventory control. The operator ensures that food display areas remain clean and comply with standard hygiene practices, safeguarding the wellbeing of customers and fostering a welcoming environment within the school community. With at least two years of prior experience in shop or food service roles, the candidate must demonstrate honesty, active engagement, and polite interaction with customers. In this role, the operator works independently without managing a team, focusing on smooth day-to-day shop functions. Responsibilities also include maintaining detailed records and performing effective inventory management to ensure availability and timely replenishment of products. Responsibilities
 

• Manage all daily activities of the canteen or tuck shop to ensure efficient operations.
• Handle cash billing accurately to maintain financial accountability.
• Provide courteous and responsive customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain inventory control by regularly monitoring stock levels and coordinating timely reordering of supplies.
• Keep meticulous records of daily transactions, stock movements, and sales data for reporting and auditing purposes.
• Ensure that food display areas and the entire shop environment comply with hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors as needed to secure fresh and adequate stock.
• Uphold honesty and professionalism in all interactions and transactions to build trust within the school community.
• Adhere to all school policies and applicable regulations related to food service and retail operations.
• Actively participate in resolving shop-related issues promptly and efficiently to minimize disruption.
