SG Allied Businesses Limited is seeking a Spawn Lab In-Charge to manage and oversee operations of our mushroom spawn laboratory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring aseptic conditions, quality control, and consistent production of high-quality spawn cultures used in commercial mushroom farming.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day lab operations and maintain sterile work conditions.

Prepare culture media, sterilize grains, and perform inoculations.

Monitor incubation, contamination control, and spawn quality parameters.

Maintain batch records and ensure proper labeling and traceability.

Coordinate with production and R&D teams for mother spawn and inoculum preparation.

Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Requirements

Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a spawn lab or plant tissue-culture laboratory.

Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and sterilization methods.

Good organizational and record-keeping skills.

Ability to troubleshoot contamination or process-related issues.
