SQA Engineer

Job Summary
Transviti is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in quality assurance principles, testing methodologies, and technical expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This role demands a proactive professional capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
The SQA Engineer will be responsible for executing thorough software testing to detect bugs and verify product quality. This includes developing and maintaining detailed test cases that emphasize edge cases and potential failure points. The role requires performing API testing using appropriate tools to validate backend services effectively. Collaboration with development teams is essential to fully understand requirements and provide timely, constructive feedback. Clear and accurate bug reporting is critical to facilitate swift resolution. Additionally, the candidate will manage and prioritize multiple testing projects to meet deadlines consistently. The SQA Engineer will also contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA processes and methodologies, supporting continuous improvement within the team.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should have between 1 to 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong grasp of QA methodologies and best practices. A solid understanding of database concepts and hands-on experience with relational database management systems, preferably SQL, is required. Practical experience in API testing and familiarity with relevant testing tools are essential. The candidate must demonstrate excellent bug reporting skills and a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in writing comprehensive test cases, particularly focusing on edge case identification, is necessary. The ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively is crucial. A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory for this position. Additionally, candidates must be available to work onsite at our Karachi Shahra-E-Faisal location.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
While not mandatory, an ISTQB certification is considered a valuable asset. Knowledge of automation testing and experience with the Selenium framework are highly desirable and will strengthen the candidate’s profile. This is a full-time role offering a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs70,000 to Rs180,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
