The Sr. Executive - Revenue & Taxation at Al Noor Lasani-MDF Board Division plays a crucial role in managing the company's sales tax and revenue-related matters. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of taxation laws and revenue management to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements. The executive is responsible for the preparation and timely filing of monthly tax returns, accurately reconciling input and output tax, and ensuring the prompt deposit of all statutory tax payments. The role also includes maintaining detailed tax ledgers and documentation, which are essential during audit processes. The candidate collaborates closely with tax consultants and auditors to guarantee that all tax-related activities meet statutory standards, and efficiently responds to any tax notices or inquiries issued by authorities. Additionally, the Sr. Executive supports sales revenue activities by preparing detailed reconciliations and reports that aid in transparent financial operations. Representing the company in tax hearings and ensuring adherence to both federal and provincial tax laws are vital aspects of this role. The executive leverages expertise in corporate tax planning, audit and assurance, and tax research to optimize the company's tax posture. Proficiency in ERP systems and tax reporting tools is essential to streamline tax compliance and documentation processes. This position requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience and does not involve managing a team. Responsibilities
 

  • Prepare and file monthly sales tax and SRB returns accurately and on time to ensure compliance with regulatory deadlines.
  • Reconcile input and output tax to maintain precise records and prevent discrepancies in tax reporting.
  • Ensure timely deposit of statutory tax payments to avoid penalties and maintain good standing with tax authorities.
  • Maintain comprehensive tax ledgers and documentation to facilitate smooth audit processes and verification activities.
  • Coordinate with external tax consultants and auditors to ensure all tax assessments and filings comply with federal and provincial laws.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to tax notices and inquiries issued by government tax departments.
  • Assist in sales revenue activities by preparing reconciliations and generating detailed financial reports.
  • Represent the company confidently in tax hearings and liaise with regulatory authorities to resolve tax-related matters.
  • Conduct ongoing tax research and analysis to stay updated on changes in taxation laws and corporate tax planning opportunities.
