Trainee Engineer, Production

Aisha Steel Mill Limited Karachi, Pakistan is seeking a motivated Trainee Engineer for Production who recently graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Material from an HEC recognized institute. This entry-level role is designed for fresh graduates eager to develop expertise in production planning, process improvement, and industrial safety within the steel manufacturing environment. The Trainee Engineer will actively engage in learning the various stages of production, assist in optimizing processes to enhance efficiency, and support compliance with workplace safety standards. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it provides a strong foundation for professional growth in production engineering through hands-on experience and close collaboration with experienced engineers and managers.
Responsibilities
 

• Assist in planning production schedules to ensure timely completion of manufacturing tasks.
• Support efforts to improve production processes by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting corrective actions.
• Monitor adherence to industrial safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in the evaluation of material and equipment to improve production quality and performance.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to understand production workflows and support continuous improvement projects.
• Conduct data collection and analysis to track production metrics and report findings.
• Learn to operate and maintain production equipment under supervision, following standard operating procedures.
• Assist in coordinating with various departments including maintenance, quality control, and procurement to ensure seamless production processes.
• Support the documentation of production activities and maintain updated records for compliance and audit purposes.
• Engage in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills in mechanical, metallurgy, and material engineering fields.
• Contribute to workplace safety initiatives by identifying potential hazards and suggesting preventive measures.
• Assist in troubleshooting production issues by collecting information and working with the technical team to implement solutions.
